Eurasian crane flight
The annual common crane migration takes place in mid-Fall in France. They cross the country in a wide corridor from the north east to the south west, stopping in a few areas, mainly great lakes like the Lake of the Der (Lac de Der). 70,000 of them stopped in this area in 2002. Flocks like this one were leaving the lake in the morning and flying back in the evening.
