This sculpture in one in a series placed at the western entrance of the Jardins des Tuileries (the one on the Concorde square side). The series by various authors depicts rivers of both Europe and Africa. This one represents the Seine and the Marne, but there is also the Tibre, the Nile and The Loire and Loiret.
