Abbey of Daoulas

The Abbey of Daoulas is a very old institution. There was first a monastery there in... 550. It was then destroyed by Norman invasions and new traces of its existence are only found in the 12th century.
Like many others, the abbey suffered from the French revolution and some of its buildings, including its superb cloister, were partially or totally destroyed.
It is now owned by the Conseil Général of Finistère.
