Abbey church of Cernay

Abbey church of Cernay

Caption

The abbey of Cernay had a great prosperity period during the 13th and 14th century but was abandoned after the hundred years war. It was partly destroyed during the french revolution and used as a stone quarry.

The abbey church is one of the only buildings that was not fully restored in the 19th century. It is now a nice looking ruin.
