Dourdan

Dourdan is a town located in a region of Ile de France called Hurepoix. This region is broadly located between the forests of Rambouillet and Fontainebleau.

Dourdan is inhabited since roman times when it was known for its production of ceramics.

It later became a royal town. A castle and large church were built and are still the main interests of the town. We could not visit the church, which is said to contain a few curiosities, but did pay a visit to the castle.
